About Organization
The Women Association for Marginalized Women (WAM) Was Funded in 2054 (1997) and run by women working towards the dignity, empowerment and self-reliance of women. Over the years. WAM has established itself as a gender resource organization (GRO). As a GRO, the organization emphasizes on proactively campaigning against violence against women.
WAM works towards mobilization of local resources and ensuring that women and marginalized groups have access and control of these as a main strategy for empowering them. WAM also believes that establishing good working relationships with various stakeholders such as government, non government and international agencies is crucial for achieving the goal of an equitable society.
WAM envisioned an equitable society free of all kinds of oppression of women, dalits and other disadvantaged communities.
To establish an equitable society by mobilizing local resources.
The goal of WAM is to economically, socially, educationally and politically enhance the capacity of marginalized women through raising awareness and empowerment.
